Feedback – Breakfast Of Champions?

clipboardDo you want to be better?  Better at your job – as a manager, leader, speaker…?  It may involve changing habits and a lifetime of conditioning.  If you are up to the challenge then here it is:  ask for feedback.

In our careers we are used to annual appraisals when everyone takes stock. Occasionally there is praise for a job well done or a reprimand if something has gone wrong but otherwise how often do we get valuable feedback on how we are doing?  It can be be really easy to exist in blissful ignorance – do what we have always done and plod along.  Yet unless we put feelers out how do we really know if we are producing the best results possible?
